Apple Trade-In Evaluation
Infinite Access for iPhone Upgrades through Apple
How is my trade-in evaluated if I process my Infinite Access for iPhone upgrade through Apple?
At an Apple Store
- A specialist evaluates your trade-in device at the store.
- Your trade-in device will either be accepted OR you may be assessed a Trade-In Damage Fee based on the condition of the device. This fee will be charged to your Boost Mobile account on your next bill.
On apple.com
- You will answer a few questions about the condition of your device to receive an estimated value and then send it to Apple using the trade-in kit provided.
- Apple will then evaluate your device to verify its condition and any damage fees due will be charged on your Boost Mobile bill. There are 2 potential conditions:
- Successfully Processed: Your trade-in device was successfully processed and we’ll send you an email confirming these details.
or
- Successfully Processed with Trade-In Damage Fee: Your trade-in device was successfully processed but the device is damaged and your Boost Mobile account will be charged a damage fee. You will see this on your next bill as a “Trade-In Damage Fee”. We’ll send you an email and SMS confirming these details.
If you owe a damage fee because your device’s condition did not match the estimated value: You’ll receive an email that gives you the option to accept or cancel your trade-in based on the evaluation. If you cancel your Trade-In, Apple will send your device back to you and the remaining loan balance of your trade-in device will be charged to your Boost Mobile account and will appear on your next bill.
My trade-in is damaged, should I send it in?
If you have AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss or Boost Protect with AppleCare Services on your iPhone AND your phone is damaged, we recommend filing a claim or processing a repair before sending in your device. If you send in a damaged device, you will be charged a trade-in damage fee.
Do I need to do a Boost Mobile Infinite Access Upgrade or can I keep my current phone?
No pressure to upgrade after 12 months. If you’re still loving your phone, keep it. It’ll be all yours after 36 monthly payments.
Will AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss or Boost Protect with AppleCare Services automatically transfer to my new phone?
No, it will not. However, during checkout you'll have the opportunity to purchase AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss to protect your new phone. Note: If you had Boost Protect with AppleCare Services on your old device, it will be automatically removed when you activate your new iPhone on that line.
