Prepare Your Device for Trade-In

Step 1: Prepare your devices

For iPhone:

Back up your device.
Turn off Stolen Device Protection on your old iPhone.
Follow these steps to disable Find My iPhone (FMiP) on your old iPhone. To turn off FMiP remotely, click here.
Turn on your new device and place it near the old device.
Follow the on screen instructions to complete setup and data transfer.

For Android:

Back up your device.
Turn on your new device and place it near the old device.
Follow the on screen instructions to complete setup and data transfer.
Make sure to turn off device protection features. See how to disable device protection features for Android, Pixel, and Samsung.

Connect your new device to Wi-Fi.
Download the Boost Mobile app or scan the QR code.
Launch the Boost Mobile app and once in the App, tap Settings → Device Setup → Manage → Change Phone.
Follow the prompts to activate.

Factory Reset your old device: Follow these instructions to factory reset your iPhone, Galaxy, Motorola or Pixel. Note: Please ensure you erase all content and data from your old device.
After powering off your old device, securely wrap it in the provided bubble wrap and place it in the provided box. (One device per box).
Close and tape the package(s) securely to avoid any damage during transit.
Ship your package(s) via USPS. you can drop it in your outgoing mail, visit the nearest USPS location, or schedule a pickup online at usps.com/pickup.
