How does the in-store trade-in work?

It’s straightforward. Bring your old device to a Boost Mobile store. We’ll run a quick diagnostic check to see what shape it’s in and verify what new device offers you're eligible for.

What can I buy with my trade-in discount?

Your qualified trade-in gets you access to offers on specific, eligible new devices at Boost Mobile stores.

Can I trade-in my current Boost Mobile phone?

Absolutely! However, if your device currently has an active Boost Mobile loan or you received any special device discounts in the last nine months, it’s not eligible for trade-in at this time.

How do I prepare my phone for trade-in?

Before you complete your trade-in at a Boost Mobile store, it can be helpful to do a few things first:

Turn off device protection features -
- If you have an iPhone, you'll need to turn off Stolen Device Protection and disable Find My iPhone in your settings before completing your trade-in. This can take awhile so it may help to do it before you visit our store.
- If you have an Android device, make sure to turn off device protection features. See how to disable device protection features for Android, Pixel, and Samsung.
Back up your device
- It's always a good idea to have your device backed up to make sure your photos, contacts, and messages are saved to the cloud (like iCloud or Google Drive).

Can I trade-in multiple devices?

No, you can only trade-in one eligible device for each Trade-In Offer.

What happens if I return my new device?

You can return your new device following our Phone Return Policy. Note: all trade-ins completed at eligible Boost Mobile stores are final and you are unable to get your old device back. For full information, see our Trade-In Terms & Conditions.
