Trade-In FAQs

Can I trade-in my current Boost Mobile phone?

Absolutely! However, if your device currently has an active Boost Mobile financing agreement or you received any special device discounts in the last 12 months, it’s not yet eligible for trade-in.

How do I prepare my phone for trade-in?

Before you complete your trade-in at a Boost Mobile store, it can be helpful to do a few things first:

1. Turn off device protection features -

   • If you have an iPhone, you'll need to turn off Stolen Device Protection and disable Find My iPhone in your settings before completing your trade-in. This can take awhile so it may help to do it before you visit our store.

2. Back up your device

   • It's always a good idea to have your device backed up to make sure your photos, contacts, and messages are saved to the cloud (like iCloud or Google Drive).

What if my trade-in credit is larger than the cost of my new phone?

Make sure to use it all! We recommend grabbing a new case, screen protector or charger to maximize your value and use every penny. Any leftover credit cannot be saved for later.

Can I trade-in multiple devices?

Yes, you can trade in one eligible device for each new device you purchase. To keep things organized, our store advocates will process each phone as a separate, quick transaction.

What happens if I return my new device?

You can return your new device following our Phone Return Policy. Note: all trade-ins completed at eligible Boost Mobile stores are final and you are unable to get your old device back. For full information, see our Trade-In Terms & Conditions.
