We've made trading-in your phone easy. Follow the steps below to successfully activate and send us your old phone. If you have questions, give us a call at (833) 502-6678.


Step 1: Prepare your phones

  • Turn off Stolen Device Protection on your old phone. Click here for Apple Instructions.
  • Follow these steps to disable Find My iPhone (FMiP) on your old phone. To turn off FMiP remotely, click here.
  • Turn on your new phone and place it near the old phone.
  • Follow the on screen instructions to complete setup and data transfer.

Step 2: Activate new phone

  • Connect your new phone to Wi-Fi.
  • Download the Boost Mobile app or scan the QR code.
  • Launch the Boost Mobile app and once in the App, tap SettingsDevice SetupManageChange Phone
  • Follow the prompts to activate.

Step 3: Reset your old phone, Pack it up and Ship it out

  • Factory Reset your old phone: go to SettingsGeneralTransfer or Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.
  • After powering off your old phone, securely wrap it in the provided bubble wrap and place it in the provided box. (One phone per box).
  • Close and tape the package(s) securely to avoid any damage during transit.
  • Ship your package(s) via USPS. you can drop it in your outgoing mail, visit the nearest USPS location, or schedule a pickup online at usps.com/pickup.

Your phone needs to be returned within 30 days to ensure your account is credited and avoids being charged the remaining loan balance on your old phone. After we receive your phone, we will send you an email with important updates.

If you have Boost Protect with AppleCare Services, call us to ensure device coverage is updated to your new device.

What happens after I send my trade-in?

Phones are usually evaluated within 5 days of arrival. We’ll send you a confirmation email with your trade-in's results once it has been processed.

Will Boost Protect with AppleCare Services transfer to my new phone?

Once you've activated your new phone, Boost Protect with AppleCare Services on your old phone will be automatically removed.

During checkout, you'll have the opportunity to purchase Boost Protect with AppleCare Services to protect your new phone. If you did not purchase coverage during checkout, you will have 30 days from purchase to add Boost Protect with AppleCare services in the Boost Mobile app or by contacting care.

Can I request my trade-in back after I've shipped it?

A trade-in that's shipped and accepted by our warehouse cannot be requested back.

What happens after a damaged trade-in is evaluated?

Trade-in devices with minor damage will be accepted and the Boost Mobile account will be charged a minor damage fee. You will receive an email with information about the evaluation and associated fees.

Trade-in devices with major damage will be automatically returned to you at no additional cost. The account will be charged the outstanding balance of the loan associated with that device.
